Introduction:
The department of History has a prosperous tradition of 35 years with successful students and teachers actively involved in the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Currently the department runs B.A. degree course with optional subject History. The intake capacity of U.G F.Y.B.A. is 120 seats. Now the department is fulfilled with one fulltime post and one Clock hour basis post. The faculty members have always contributed their concerns in the adaption of the curriculum of History at University level.

Objective :
- To create awareness about the local history among the students.
- To develop scientific attitude and logical thinking into the students.
- To create a sense of national Integration and Nationalism.
- To help the students in developing their career in professional fields, i.e. travel & tourism etc.
- To prepare the young Generation to contribute to Nation building.
