Introduction
Physical education and sports are two areas, which are completely integrated concerning various factors like physical fitness, motor abilities, and skills development. The Department of Physical Education & Sports is devoted to improving these factors amongst the girl students of any faculty like B.A., B.COM, B.C.A., B.VOC, M.C.A. and M.A. The Department always attempt to motivate female students to participate in Sports Meets, whether on the Collegiate, Inter-Collegiate or inter-university level through intramural sports activity & celebrating events like National Sports Day and Annual Sports meets in the Kamalotsav..
Establishment
Department of Physical Education & Sports was established in June 1983. The department always attempts to develop physical literacy amongst students through the acquisition of those levels of skill necessary for efficient body movement and control in a sporting situation. An understanding of the importance of sport is very essential in the pursuit of a healthy and active lifestyle at the College and beyond.
